One of the most telling indicators of your Kibbe type is how your body gains and distributes weight. Each family has distinct patterns.

Dramatic Family

Dramatic: Weight gain is relatively even but adds bulk rather than curve. The silhouette remains somewhat straight and column-like. The face may lose angularity with weight gain.

Soft Dramatic: Weight goes to bust, hips, and thighs first, maintaining the hourglass shape. The upper arms and face also show fullness. The waist remains defined even with weight gain.

Natural Family

Flamboyant Natural: Weight gain adds width across the back and shoulders first. The torso remains somewhat straight. Weight is distributed broadly and evenly.

Natural: Weight gain spreads evenly with slight thickening through the midsection. The figure retains its relaxed, moderate shape.

Soft Natural: Weight goes to bust and hips, softening the figure further. The waist remains somewhat defined. Upper arms and thighs also show fullness.

Classic Family

Dramatic Classic: Weight gain is even but can look slightly heavy. The figure may lose some of its crisp, tailored appearance.

Classic: Weight gain distributes perfectly evenly throughout the body. The balanced proportions remain even with additional weight.

Soft Classic: Weight gain goes to bust, hips, and thighs, but distributes evenly overall. The figure retains soft, balanced proportions.

Gamine Family

Flamboyant Gamine: Weight gain can look "stocky" or compact. The figure may appear squarish. Weight goes to the midsection.

Classic Gamine: Weight gain stays relatively even and compact. The figure remains proportional but more filled out.

Soft Gamine: Weight goes to bust, hips, and thighs prominently. The waist remains defined. The figure becomes more lush.

Romantic Family

Theatrical Romantic: Weight goes to bust, hips, and thighs in a pronounced hourglass pattern. The waist remains tiny. The figure becomes more lush.

Romantic: Weight settles in the bust, hips, thighs, and upper arms. The small waist remains defined. The overall effect is softening and increased curving.
